Rehearsals are held at the University of Melbourne Faculty of the VCA and Music (Victorian College of the Arts), 234 St Kilda Road, Southbank 3006, each Saturday of the school term. The Saturday Music program will begin on Saturday, 6 February 2010. In 2010 the Melbourne Youth Orchestra will operate on a project rehearsal schedule grouped around performances. The full annual schedule will be available at auditions. Tutorials are held within regular rehearsal times.

A discount of $50 is offered for full payments made before Saturday, 20 February 2010. Tertiary students can apply for a discount of up to $200. Membership fees must be paid by Saturday, 3 April 2010, otherwise membership will be withdrawn.

Ensemble fees have stayed the same as 2009 - still great value for a 32 week program.
